Planning on applying to engineering school. Currently a junior, should be able to get my GPA up to around 3.8 weighted at least and actual SAT should be over 2000 after studying. I don't have access to my unweighted GPA at the moment. I've taken almost every honors class available and am in two APs. Not sure about class rank, but should be at or near top 10%. Attending private Catholic school, so I've done quite a bit of mandatory community service. As much as I regret it, I kind of lazed through freshman and first half of sophomore year, and now it's come back to haunt me GPA-wise. Also, I'm not sure if they're big on diversity, but I'm a middle class white male who doesn't have much to contribute in that department :/

So far this year, students have been accepted into the Engineering program with similar ACTs and GPAs, however that was with EA, so it will ultimately depend on the applicant pool for when you determine to file (EA vs RD). If you score above 2000 on the SAT, then that will significantly increase your chances along with, of course, any increase in your GPA although it looks strong already. SCU is known to favor those coming from Catholic schools especially if you’re in the CA area. SCU claims to be diverse, but I’ve seen and heard that they are far from it, so not being a minority, etc will not affect your chances.

Best of luck for applying towards the end of this year.
