I have a 3.0 gpa (4.0 scale) and SAT of a 1700
I am a U.S Citzen however I attend highschool outside of U.S in El Salvador. I have done Highschool in the Dominican Republic and El Salvador.
Although my school does not offer AP or Honors, i have taken all 4 years classes such as:
-4 units foreign language
-4 units chem, bio etc...
-1 unit sociology
-2 units of psychology
-1 unit computer science
- 4 units of math
- 4 units of english
- 4 units of history
I have like 26 or 27 credits in all (seriously my school really forces you to take these courses and 4 years of most of the courses.)
It quite a good school. probably one of the top ones in El Salvador.

-fluent in spanish and english ( if it counts for somethin :P)
I plan to go into Undeclared (Is it easier to go in undeclared) if not i will really go into any major that i can get in with and transfer to an intended major later.

ppl cmon can anyone help me out here??

I think you have a good shot at getting into Rollins. What is the breakdown of your SAT score? Rollins's average SAT score (math and verbal combined) is around 1190.

well i believe my SAT score is similar to saying a 1100 or 1110.... As you can see it is in the 1100 range (fortunately) but it aint a hot score... now my background is quite impressive dont ya think? so that could help me out.... my gpa will be a solid B i doubt even with hard work in senior year it reaches a B +...... im just worried over all.... lol wat do u say now once i have claryfied my SAT score to ya... id say 1700 is about an 1100-1120

I think Rollins is a match for you..which means abour 50/50 chances. I think you will likely get in but probably no merit money. Out of curiosity, why did you decide to apply to Rollins? JW because I applied too and will be visiting pretty soon to learn more.

Well to be honest i am from Florida just my dad works outside of U.S and i wanna go to Florida back home but Florida is quite competetive.. Miami U. is way out of my league, same for U of Florida and well im left with Rollins and USF (not sure bout USF, do u think i have a good chance for USF?) and FSU (i doubt i get in there but wat u think?). I have not applied yet, i am a junior so yea... but anyways yea that my reason so i hope you can help me out with my other choices....

don't forget UCF, it's quite popular at my high school at least.

Yea that true... out of the following:
FSU:
USF:
UCF:
What are my chances in those?
hey by the way wat r u stats?

ppl can anyone help me out with my chances to USF, UCF and FSU?
My stats are at the top of the thread. plz ppl help me out... im in no immediate hurry im just a nervous prospective student...

In my opinion, you shouldn't really be worrying about chances at specific colleges just yet as a junior in high school. Why don't you try improving your GPA and your test scores? You could also try taking the ACT, which many people do better on than they do on the SAT.

With regards to chances however, I think you have a good shot at getting into FSU, USF, & UCF. USF and UCF are a bit less competitive than FSU, btw.

andrewcarta...
Are you interested in a small school? Check out Flagler College in Jacksonville. It is a very nice school and a great value. It's always on the US News list for "Best Value." Apply very early and try to visit and meet with admissions, too. It is getting very popular and hard to get into because of its size. It is much less expensive than Rollins :-)

You have an interesting background, so you should appeal to admissions representatives...I would think!

Stetson is another small FL private school that you might like as well. Check it out at www.stetson.edu

hi,
i have a 4.0 weighted gpa and 2100 on the sats what are my chances for rollins?

My D was just accepted to Rollins with a Presidential Scholarship and her stats are similar to yours. Her SAT is actually a bit lower. What is your CR+M? Her ECs are exceptional (lots of activities in her intended major, community service, awards, and leadership positions), essays were pretty good, so I think that’s what helped put her over the edge.

Did you apply?
