Chances into Florida Schools!!

<p>Hey, </p>

<p>I have a 3.0 G.P.A
1700 on the SAT
I have done highschool in the Dominican Republic and El Salvador however i am a Florida Resident by birth.
I have taken the following:
Spanish: 4 units
Literature (english): 4 units
Math(Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre- Claculus, Calculus): 5 Units
Science(Physical science, Biology, Chemistry and physics): 4 units
History: 4 units
Computer science: 2 units
Social Science: Psychology(2 units), Sociology(1 unit), Economics(1 unit)</p>

<p>Ec's: Ok overall ive done a good amount here are some of my better Ec's:
- MUN all 4 years and have attended 3 conferences including one that i hosted in my own school wher ei was senior member of security council.y
-Varisty Soccer and Basketball.
-100 Hours Community Service
-Leadership Conference: ok these were free and selective, not like the GYLC and other phony ones!:)</p>

<p>Ok I am sorta worried about getting into a nice Florida School and mayby im a lil paranoid but id like some help if possible.
Im thinking of the Following schools:
-University of South Florida
-Rollins College
-University of Miami
-Florida State</p>

<p>Im also considering a few out of state schools:
-Indiana University (bloomington)
-South Carolina (Columbia)</p>

<p>Please help me out with some chances:</p>

-University of Miami - ???, btw, it's pretty expensive
-Florida State - in</p>

<p>your SAT scores should be higher for the out of state ones, and it wouldn't hurt for your in state schools. what about UCF?</p>

<p>Yea i like UCF but id prefer Rollins over UCF. Hey whgy would u think im in at Florida State. I thought that for me it was a reach but like just curious why would i be in, is it easy to get in there?</p>

<p>FSU isn't that hard to get into numbers wise, unlike UF, and your ECs are pretty good, but your SAT scores are not working, you got to get them up.</p>

<p>Just from what I know about these schools and their selectivity.</p>

<p>Rollins - Safe Match</p>

<p>University of Miami - High Match / Slight Reach</p>

<p>Florida State - Match</p>

<p>Indiana University - Match (If Not for Business...Otherwise, Reach)</p>

<p>I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but I think all the schools listed, with the exception of USF, may be reaches. I think you may need to add a "safety" school to your list...or at least another match school...perhaps UCF.</p>

<p>How many AP classes will you have had? What is your weighted GPA?</p>

<p>I'll disagree. I think he has a great shot at all of them with the exception of IU and UMiami. UCF would be a great choice for him compared to most of the others listed.</p>
