that's what got me in

is that sarcasm

noooooo wayyy mannn

yeah, its sarcasm.
both the Whos Who and the Nat Youth Leadership forum are scams. Putting them on your app. won't necessarily hurt, but it will give adcoms the impression that you're a bit naive...

So whats the deal with the "who's who" thing, like what you were just saying about them being naive...I donno I've been wondering for a while

can someone actually answer the question....im relying on my minority status basically

The only thing I can really tell you is that you should be a competitive applicant that the adcoms will consider. Anything I say past this would be BS because quite honestly.... I'm not an admissions counselor, and I have no idea what the heck they do up there.

Which school do you plan to apply for btw? That's pretty important as well. If you went engineering, your SAT is a bit lower than the median (I think the middle 50% range for the class of 2009 was 1380-1550). But don't take that as a defeat, because I got in with a 1440 M+V (710 W), which is also below the median (and I'm asian! :p)

But again, the only thing I can tell you is that I don't see anything glaring that would eliminate you automatically.

minority status is just a consideration, u have to be competive with all applicants and the top of the urm applicants

If you go to a private school shouldn't minority status be pretty much irrelevant...kind of a red flag that you are not underprivileged. I don't know if that's how they would look at that but that would only seem fair. But then again I think they only care about having a high % of minorities so nevermind what I just said.

i go there on scholarship

so what...you still go there

I have two questions for the OP. What college are you applying to at Cornell, and what courses are you planning to take during your senior year at your high school? From a quick glance, your sophomore year could hurt you, but you have had a nice upward trend in your junior year. The de Lassalle Scholars program looks interesting (I googled it!) I think that could make you stand out. Best of luck.
