Hello! I’m hoping to get into one of my favorite schools, Seton Hall ( to study International Relations) which is not considerably hard to get accepted into (79.4%). They do take in kids with Low GPA’s and SAT scores yet I’m still worried I won’t get in… With a GPA of 2.9 and SAT of 1900 I’m worried still even though that’s around the average. I do have a year of Rotary Youth Exchange that would look very good for what I want to major in there. My question is will that help my chances of getting in since it’s the epitome of what a high schooler can do relating to the major? And what is my outlook for getting in your opinions?
Well, I looked up this school since I’ve never heard of it, and it said their average student had a 3.5 GPA and an SAT of 1145 (out of 1600), so although your GPA is a little bit below average, your SAT scores are probably above average if you converted the average score to a 2400 scale. So you probably stand a good chance of being accepted- just write good essays and continue with rotary (I’m assuming you’re a junior?)
