chances

i know these are awful, but i'm curious. i visited wellesley last fall and loved the campus, and the vibe, now i'm a senior and applying.
Stats:
SAT I:
610 math
710 writing
720 critical reading
(taking it again in october)

SAT IIs:
780 literature
710 US history
(taking more in november)

my gpa is somewhere in the 3.6 area, but i'm not sure of the exact number. i'm full IB, and about an A- student.

AP exams:
AP US 5
AP Euro 5
AP Literature 4
(we don't offer very many AP classes at my school)

i've played varsity soccer for four years, club rugby for three. i'm on prom committee, in amnesty international, ski club, my school's big brother/big sister, and i founded a book club at my school. i spent last summer working in the cumberland gap n.h.p. with the student conservation association, and i volunteer saturday mornings (sometimes) with habitat for humanity.

what do you think?

i don't know what you think is so awful? you scores look good though a bit below the avg SAT on math for wellesley. my D is applying too and her profile looks similar to yours... wellesley is a great school, but it is not as hard to get into as the ivies (due to the fact it's single sex which makes it less of a reach.) good luck to you.

p.s. where else are you applying?

Well, your IIs are very strong and many schools regard those higher than the Is anyways. You've got a fair chance at it and keep in mind, like fairburn said, Wellesley is not as hard to get into due to its all-girl status so what would be a 23% acceptance rate as a coed is actually 46 or 47%. As you don't have any special "hooks" per se it might be more competitive for you but you still have a chance.
