I'm currently a junior in high school and my GPA has been a solid 3.71 for freshman and sophomore years... I have a feeling I can get it up though, since my first quarter GPA is a 3.85 and i think my second quarter will be a 4.0.

After junior year i will have taken four AP courses (government&pol, calc AB, comp sci III and world history AP). I think i'll take five at least in my senior year, and they'll probably be AP physics, chem(or bio... i cant decide), calc BC, english 12, and latin IV.

I take the SAT in january, and my score has been improving with every practice test I take... my scores range from 1960 to about 2110, and my highest scores have been in writing with math and cr following behind.

I want to major in biology or genetics, or something biology related, and I realize that really wherever I go, I won't have to worry about getting into an undergrad school with a super prestigious bio dept (like MIT or something...). The schools that I'm looking at are:

UMBC, College park (i live in MD so i think these two schools will be safeties)
Umich Ann arbor (prob. a reach)
University of Rochester
Northwestern
CMU (most def. a reach)
Stevens Institute of Technology
UCalifornia San Diego

Could anyone tell me more about my chances at these schools? I'm also open to any new suggestions; I don't have many preferences and I don't have a favorite college... I guess my only preference is that it be on either the west or east coast and that there is some sort of diversity within the college.
