Chances

Hi there, I am new to this forum and I was wondering if I could get my chances at these colleges.

Statistics:

Asian , Male
Weak public school

GPA: 3.33 Unweighted / 3.75 Weighted
SAT I: 2390/2400, 1600/1600
SAT II: N/A

Pretty good EC's , some leadership positions. I have had a few of my EC's for several years (5+ years). Plenty of community service as well.

Schools:

Johns Hopkins University
Washington University in St. Louis
University of Southern California
University of Rochester
Emory University
Georgetown University
University of Wisconsin - Madison
Rutgers

I have a few safeties as well, but these are the main colleges I wish to attend.

"SAT I: 2930/2400, 1600/1600"...
You got a 2930 out of a 2400 on your SAT I's? :o

Typo - fixed.

your SAT's are great for those colleges but your GPA is too low for most of the top colleges you are aiming for.

When your SAT score is high yet your GPA's low.. the school will either think that your school is extraordinarily hard or you were just a slacker in 9th-11th.

I have no shot? Even at Rochester, Wisconsin or Rutgers? :(

Maybe they will think my school is hard ... haha

I think you've got a great shot at UR, UW and Rutgers. Other than that it is a toss up.

i think u have a good shot at emory.
