<p>The only thing I think that is preventing you to get into these schools are your SAT scores. I have heard Penn State UP doesn't even look at applicants with anything lower than 1800 and that's for in state applicants! It may be the same for out of state but you still have to bring them up!!</p>

<p>completely UNTRUE. the sal of my class has in the 1500s (out of 2400) and got in. comments like that are how rumors start.</p>
<p>He was the salutatorian....Penn State UP's decision is 2/3 based on grades, so it makes sense that he would still get in with a low SAT score. For all those people that are not salutatorian or valedictorian, you need to get a significantly higher score. Posts like yours are how disappointments get generated from people who are led to believe they are a lock when they're not. That SAT score would normally be nowhere near high enough to get accepted.</p>
