I would like to apply to PSU and want to know what your SAT scores were if you got in to psu main campus. Also if you were a music major I would like to know more info about how it went for you when you were applying. Also what are my chances if I have a 4.13 gpa and 1040 sat, I am retaking them again...but what if it doesnt go up? I have taken ap classes (got an A in AP Chem) I need help? thanks for answering all of my questions.

I am still wondering though from specific music majors who auditoned there...also what about getting in as a music major is it easier? like do they think of it that way?

In musical theatre/acting, schools usually don't look too heavily into grades/GPA, and SATs. It helps for scholarships, but it isn't a huge part of admission.

Weight given to academics really depends on the school. For example, Emerson weighs academics 50% and the academic review by the admissions office is separate from the talent review of the drama department for the BFA program. Same with NYU. Best bet is to call the Music Dept at PSU and ask them. If a BA program, academic weight is usually the same as any other BA program at the school.

PSU is not very tough on grades, from our experience. They seemed to make decisions mostly by audition.
