my essays and recommendation should be excellent

also my rank is top 10%....around 40/480-ish

IMO, your profile is that of many qualified OOS students. Have you visited the campus/interviewed? Have your courses been AP/IB?

would you reccommend an interview? im visting either late summer or the beginning of the school year.

and none of my classes 9-11 were AP, but i will have definetly 1 (possibly 2) AP's senior year and those 2 dual credit courses (i think they are similar to IB's?? i dont really know what IB's are)

Definitely get an interview if possible. It might hurt you that you don't have any AP science classes. Also, you're going to want to improve your SAT as much as possible.

Being out of state hurts, being a male helps... definitely spend lots of time on essays and get good recs

I'd say if your SAT improves, you've got a fair shot at acceptance. Good luck.
