Chances

<p>I am a white female from one of the best public school systems in the country.
I am only a Junior though but I wanted to see what my chances are and what I can improve on.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.6 unweighted hoping to raise this year</p>

<p>IBs: IB English 1, IB English 2, IB HOTA, IB Topics, IB World Religions, IB Psych 1, IB Psych 2, IB Bio HL, IB Philosophy, IB Chem SL, (all core classes freshman and sophmore year were Pre-IB)
APs: AP Gov, AP Calc
(I haven't completed all of these yet but they include the classes I plan to take senior year)</p>

<p>EC's:
Odyessy of the Mind 9-12
Voice Lessons 9-12
Theatre 9-10
Volunteering at Ronald McDonald House 10-12 (Hope to have around 60 hours)
Volunteering for Political Candidates 10-12 (Hope to have around 60 hours too)
English Honors Society
I am hoping to become active in a club which is just starting at my school to help children in uganda. 11-12
Going to get a part time job once I can drive</p>

<p>Awards:
OM- Two years placing very well at state level, confident that we will go to worlds this year or next
Won science fair for school</p>

<p>Essay: I am an amputee, and I am going to write about overcoming that.</p>

<p>I havent taken SATs. My PSAT scores (SOPHMORE year) were:
Critical Reading- 60
Math-60
Writing- 58
But I didnt really try when I took those and have been taking a SAT prep course.</p>

<p>Possible Majors: English, Philosophy/Religion, Pre-Med,</p>

<p>Yeah, I know... my GPA and ECs are weak...</p>

<p>Being a Junior, you still have a lot of variables. You gave a list of things you have done and hope to do. A lot depends on how many of them you actually achieve. You have two choices with your ECs. You can either get really involved with one or two of them or you can branch out. I think you have a chance if you can get some good scores, up your GPA a little and strengthen your ECs a bit.</p>
