ERg, no matter what you guys say, this is gonna drive me nuts, but I'm gonna do it any way.

Ok, my SATs are: 720 CR, 700 math, 770 writing
Sat 2s: 730 chem, 670 lit, 770 math

My GPA is 3.987, but it's weighted. I'm 76/600 in my class so i miss the top 10%, although i have taken all the highest level courses, and took BC Calc in 10th grade. SO i have three Aps, chem, stats and calc that i've taken.

I do track and xc, but those and baiscly all my ecs. what are my chances :-/

wait i lied about the ec, i dont' know why i said that, i have a bunch, jsut not schools ones, liek i vonluntere and stuff, it's just the dang class rank, does it put me totaly out of it? is that why my chances are so slim?

Your scores aren't a problem, obviously, but...

Okay, so that's the weighted GPA, but I'd have to see the unweighted. To me, that seems a little low as a weighted GPA, but it depends on how your high school calculates it.

You said you take the highest level courses- does your school not offer APs other than those three? If they don't, then that shouldn't hurt you either.

The class rank does look sort of bad, but it will depend on how competitive your school is, and that'll be on the school profile. Swarthmore does accept people that aren't in the top 10%, but those applicants might have something extra-special about them, or maybe they're a minority. If you're a type of minority, it'll help you. If you're interested in continuing the athletics in college, that could help you a little too, I'm not sure.

You said you have ECs outside the school, but I'm not sure about them- if they show some type of passion you have, then that will look good.

There are a lot of variables that we don't have information about. Competitiveness of your school, whether you had an interview, how your essays are- especially the essays because I think they're a pretty huge factor of the application. If your essays are amazing then you should have a chance, but if your essays weren't good then I would be worried.

It kind of depends on the high school, too. For example, top 10% at a magnet school like Thomas Jefferson Science in Virginia or a super competitive prep school is a pretty high standard. At a "normal" high school, top 10% is nothing special.

yeah, i go to a public school, but it's rated the top public school in PA. idk, i just hope they liek my esseys, but again, we'll all know exactly wat our chances are in 16 days!!!
