<p>25% of those admitted have SAT scores below the listed range - in your case hopefully the whole person concept and your strong CR score mitigates your math score.</p>
<p>I've known of many kids who have had SAT scores above the composite listed for the colleges they applied to yet in the end were wait listed or rejected. Good scores can help but in the end are not the only factor.</p>
<p>It may be worth your time to ask some of the CC'ers to respond here, or privately if you choose, to the SAT "math issue". It is my understanding from other postings in the past few years that math and science can be pretty daunting at USAFA. It is not clear how indicative of your overall math proficiency or level that SAT score indicates. And, of course, there are other scenarios to consider - your intended major, career path, etc.</p>
