So, decisions are a week away. I can't wait any longer. So what the heck, I'll post mine. Chance me plz. ^^

Quantitative Data:

-GPA: 3.982/4.000 Unweighted
-Rank: I reported unweighted, which was 1/261 at the time (I had a 4.0 back then)
-ACT: COMPOSITE: 33/36 English: 35 Math: 33 Reading: 30 Science: 33 Essay: 10
-SAT: CR:600 M:660 R:540 TOTAL: 1800/2400 XD
-SATII: MathIIC: 800 Physics: 790
-Took every Honors/AP Math and Science course offered at my high school.

Extracurricular Activities/Leadership:

-Student Body Technology Director (06-07)
-Senior Class President (07-08)
-Computer Club Founder and President (06-07)
-Competed in the FIRST Robotics Competition. Served as captain. It was the first year (har har) for my school's newly formed Robotics Team.
-Taekwondo 3rd Degree Black Belt (training since 1997)
-Paid assistant Taekwondo instructor
-National Honor Society
-Self-employed as a computer systems analyst (build, fix, troubleshoot computers)
-Established a local organization to help East Asian immigrant students adjust to local school settings
-Extreme interest in engineering (made that real clear on my additional essay)

Things I'm worried about:

-The glaring 1800/2400 on SAT I, though the 33/36 on the ACT should offset it.
-Took no AP tests (I'm taking Calculus BC this May, but that won't matter)
-Only took two SATIIs. Physics790 = about 89% percentile
-Got a B+ in Calculus BC this year. Lost 4.0 as a senior, which displays signs of senioritis.
-Took 0 Honors/AP English courses.

hmm... I'd probably say about a 40 percent chance or so... you have really good leadership positions. However, since you didn't really take any AP's, I'm not sure =/ It's also pretty interesting how you have been employed in computer related jobs as well =)

heh never mind... this post is kinda getting long xD

er... get your own thread, domnu, after you condense your chances post down a bit. long posts rarely attract readers.
i dont understand the discrepancies between SAT and ACT. how are they so far apart? MIT probably converts (wishful thinking, maybe) ACT into SAT and take the higher one. if so, you're in great shape. if not, your SAT may hurt your chances.
<5 days left?

well, basically I just took the SAT I on January 2007, and screwed it up. (meh, went to sleep at 1am, woke up 15 min before the test, a bottle of water in the car was my breakfast...what can i say?) Then I took the ACT and liked it a lot better. I never bothered to go back to fix my SAT I though (maybe I should've)

got a likely letter from UCLA (basically means I got in), so hopefully I'll get into the rest too

Hey, I wonder how people like Domnu can fit his long list of ECs online when he applied. Obviously there isn't that much space available when I was trying to input my ECs.

Btw, tongchen, I've just faxed MIT telling them that I am not a Mafia member. Of course, I think it's redundant, but I rather risk nothing.
