Chances! :=)

I'm a junior in high school. I will be graduating in the class of '09. knowing UPenn's high selectiveness, I would like to know how good my chances of admission are.

Currently: GPA- 4.0 unweighted for semester 1. Have gotten straight A's for the entire school yr. except an 88% in Honors Pre-Calc. during quarter 2 (would that hurt me?)
Class Rank- # 2 in my class (out of about 500 students) and battling for the #1 spot.
Will take SAT's in May(what's the minimum score that will still make me competitive?)

Please assess my chances! i would appreciate it tremendously and also please give me any advice. Thank you!

do you want to apply to cas, wharton, engineering or nursing

do well on your SATs and you're good for any of the schools i think. good luck!

i want to apply to wharton :)

definitely make sure you kick butt on math sat's, i've seen that seems to be a common thread in wharton acceptees, great stats though

academically you are fine provided you get <2200 and 800 on the math SAT2.
however you need to demonstrate a PASSION for studying business. you need to work on something that will give you something to discuss how you really want to study business vs want to go to wharton so you can get a good job. unless you find something special, there is a good chance you will be just another 4.0 kid who is rejected from wharton.

so when i apply to upenn, do i do so to their undergrad admissions or to wharton. and as for the reasons for why i want to go into business, what do you mean dlesk between studying and getting a job? i mean, a good solid future job is definetely one of my main reasons, but also the international relations part of it. i love dealing with other cultures and people, i love languages so would that be a good reason for it?

please read this thread about how to apply:

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-pennsylvania/466126-when-you-apply-penn-you-pick-one-school.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-pennsylvania/466126-when-you-apply-penn-you-pick-one-school.html</a></p>

undergraduate admissions is the place you apply for all penn schools, including wharton.

ok thanks i was confused with that, like when you list the schools to where you sat scores are sent to, they have upenn undergrad admissions and then they have other its other schools so i didnt know if it was the same for the application
