Hi, I'm wondering what my chances would be for a school like NYU, and also (perhaps unrealistically) for a higher school such as Cornell.

Male/Asian-American

SAT's: 2230
Writing: 800
Math: 640
Verbal: 790

I have yet to take the SAT II's, but expect to take 3 of them, and do fairly well on them.

GPA: 3.8

I'm taking nearly all (if not all) of the AP classes offered, and have been in all honors classes throughout my highschool career. Regarding extracurricular activities (this is my weakness), I'm in NHS, Latin Honor Society, Art Honor Society, Amnesty International, and Student Council; I'm the founding president of Latin Club and the Graphic Director and Artist of my school newspaper, and I was in past years a member of Chess Club (freshman and sophomore) and Jazz Band. I do volunteer work at my local library and hospital, but haven't done an especially large amount of hours. Outside of school, I spend six hours a week in New York painting at a well known institution of art, and will be attending Rhode Island School of Design's summer precollege program this summer.
