ohhhcollege, you stand (as far as I can tell) a really great chance. But do be forewarned that college admissions is one giant crapshoot. You may be entirely well qualified-- you are, I assure you-- but it's entirely dependent on what the school looks for. Try to not be too disappointed, no matter what the outcome is.

My D had comparable ACT and AP. Your class rank is much better. I honestly cant tell you what weights they give to the different areas in an applicant's resume.

She was waitlisted and subsequently accepted in early June.

PS - I heard that NU is acutely conscious of "yield" which has to do with the percentage of the initial applicants they offer admission to who accept; ie., they try hard to only offer admissions to candidates who they feel will accept. So if you're an out-of-state candidate, apparently, it helps a great deal to visit and make them know that you have spent the time and effort to do so because it gives them greater confidence that you'll accept. Again, dont have any idea how true this is.

don't sweat it dude, college confidential makes no difference, if anything this place is like a depressant. it got me down so many times in high school and i'm at northwestern now. go party. have fun. just stay away from cops.
