<p>So I have narrowed down my colleges into 5 selections and William and Mary is my #3, but I want to know my shot. I plan on dual majoring in economics and political policy.</p>

<p>White Male
Unweighted GPA- 4.3 (senior year 4.53)</p>

<p>7 AP's (out of 2 so far I've gotten 5's) by grad and all honors except for two classes. (out of 28)</p>

Senior Thesis (H)
Spanish V (H) (taking AP test)
Holocaust and Case-Studies of Genocide (H)
AP US Government
AP Macroeconomics
AP Literature and Composition
Calculus (H)
Physics (H)
AP Psych</p>

<p>SAT- 700 CR, 680 M, 650 W, but retaking in November.
SAT IIs- Math 1 and 2 and US History (no scores back)
Will have completed a senior thesis on restaurant profitability and increasing profitability by 7%.</p>

<p>I know I have weak EC's- President of Young Republicans and Student Gov't Rep. Also I have worked 40+hrs/wk since sophmore year, which is where I have devoted my time. Now I am second in command and the boss of people twice my age (I work in a high-end restaurant). Will have completed 90+ hrs of community service, with a bulk coming when I coached youth football.</p>

<p>I assume you are out of state...</p>

<p>I think you have a solid shot. While you're EC's are "weak", the 40 hours of work a week + your position in the chain of command makes you stand out, IMO. Not many other kids will have something like that on their resume.</p>

<p>thanks for the response, and I am working on intertwining my work experience with the Common App essay and ho it
was an experience that changed my life. I will also try to include the commitment and passion angles.</p>
