chances?

i am a white female from southern california, i currently have a 3.27 gpa unweighted. my gpa for freshman year was around a 3.5, junior year it was a 3.6. but during my sophomore year it was just barely a 3.0 due to a difficult year which began with three of my friends dying in september and in the spring i found out that my best friend had cancer

i go to a small college prep private school so all of the courses are very difficult and i have taken the most difficult courses for all of freshman year and sophmore year. in junior year i chose to take easier science, english, and spanish classes. but i was taking the most advanced pre calculus class offered, ap us history, and ap studio art.

Act composite is: 27

i am really involved. i will have played varsity volleyball and softball for 4 years, and varsity basketball for 3. i will have been captain of volleyball and basketball for both junior and senior year. i am in national charity league and i have been secretary(3 years), treasurer, and i am currently the president. i am involved with junior statesmen of america (jsa), health occupation students of america (hosa) and ive been secretary, class rep, and president for that, and i have been part of student counsel and california scholarship federation (CSF) for some semesters of high school. and this summer i had an internship with a psychologist.

senior year classes:
Microbiology
(H) Anatomy and Physiology
(AP) English Literature
(AP) Government and Politics
(H) Statistics
(AP) Studio Art

Your gpa is lower than the average for admitteds, but your ACT score is higher. Your extracurriculars and AP classes taken will help in the final consideration. I’d say you stand a slightly greater than 50% chance. Good luck!!!

i got accepted!

Congratulations!!! :)
