chances?

Just want to know if even is possible at all for me...currently a junior
GPA: from sophmore year 4.3
Honors: 9th:2, 10th:2, 11th:1
APs: 10th: 1; 11th: 5 next year planning 4 with multivariable calc at a local university.
Bs: freshman english honors 1st semester, physics C this yr, btw - I'm a girl and I'm currently #5 in my physics class out of like 20 seniors, 2 of whom got accepted by Yale already...and I should get a 5 on all of my ap exams this yr.
service learning: ~70 hrs
clubs: duke orchestra, school orchestra, just joined this yr (which is bad): math/science/space club and all of their competitions.
SAT: 2230: 790CR, 770M, 670W (don't know how I messed this one up)
PSAT: 201----215 (I did great on the writing sections here)
hobbies: piano, violin, writing
other things?: I moved to US from Asia 5 yrs ago, and moved 3 times while in U.S. Family not very rich, have to take care sometimes of 1-yr-old brother.....

Anyway, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. My parents are always saying that I won't get into any good college, and I just want to know if I should waste admission money on Yale if it's impossible for me. Thanks~

You’re a solid candidate. Retake the SAT and maybe try the ACT (just to raise the writing score…since you’re unhooked it can’t hurt to have a better SAT!). But really, you’re in the same boat as most applicants. You’re a solid candidate and you will get into a great school, it just might not be Yale. Make sure you work on your essays and demonstrate a passion for your major, etc. Try to make yourself stand out with non-quantitative data! Good luck!!

2230 is my 3rd SAT though. I took it twice in my sophomore year for a program and got 2000 both times, so I probably shouldn’t take it again.

Definitely try the ACT then, with that score on the SAT you will probably get at least a 34+.

What is your highest writing score on the SAT? Yale superscores as far as I know

oh I’m sorry, did I type great? I meant better,. It was 700
