Chances

I'd really love to go to Cornell, though I'm not sure if I'd be able to get in. Here are my various stats, so to speak.

SAT: 2230 - 800 writing, 790 critical reading, 640 math < I hope to improve on this, of course.

SAT II: 750 U.S. History (I plan to take another soon, probably lit.)

AP's: By the start of senior year, I will have taken AP History, AP Calc, AP Studio Art, AP Biology, and AP English. So far, I've only taken History, due to the way our school offers the classes. On the test I got a 5.

GPA: 3.5-ish, I think. Definitely in top 10%, might be top 5%.

EC's, etc:
President of Latin Club, 11 - 12.
School newspaper, 10 -12
Chess Club, 9 - 10
Art Club, 11 - 12
National Honor Society, 11 -12
National Art Honor Society, 11 - 12
National Language Honor Society, 11 - 12
Student Council, 10 - 12
Amnesty International, 10 - 12

About 70 hours of community service at local library.
Out of school, I've done various things involving art:
2005 Summer Pre-college at RISD
Saturday courses at Art Student's League of NY, 10 - 12
Various things at Cooper Union, School of Visual Arts, etc.
Local art society thing in the community.

That's about it. Anyway, I'd really like any feedback. Do I have a chance? (Unfortunately, I doubt I'd be able to apply ED, since I hope to take both another SAT II and the SAT's again, to improve my math score.)

Thanks!

Good Chance! :) your SAT is fine. Just take SAT/SATIIs at the early fall test. applying ED boosts your cahnces alot

Thanks for the speedy reply! Any other opinions/comments?

I think even if u apply ED, you can still take the fall SAT 1/2's. Like everyone sparticus says, it does boost your chance tremendously. You have the scores and EC's that could qualify u for the ivies. so don't sweat it!
