Race: White/Arab-Muslim

I know my test scores are relatively weak for these schools but does my extra curriculars make up for it? I'm not sure how schools will interpret my experience in Washington.

Would appreciate an honest appraisal of my chances at admission to these schools.

Thanks in advance!

My thoughts on your chances at:

Yale (EA)...Reach
Columbia...Reach
Cornell...Match
Georgetown...Reach
UPenn...Reach/Match
WashU...Reach/Match
Dartmouth...Reach
Case Western...Safety
George Washington...Safety

You might want to add a few more Match, Match/Safety schools. A few you might want to look into: Vanderbilt, Emory, UWisconsin-Madison, Johns Hopkins. Again, just my humble opinion.

Good luck! :)

Thanks for your opinion.

Any other opinions?

How'd you get a lower unweighted GPA than a weighted one?

I didn't post my unweighted gpa - I just have a 4.3 on a 4.0 scale weighted gpa

Might want to look at some schools like Trinity College, Holy Cross, or Bucknell. Holy Cross has a very strong political science program and among its alumni are several Congressmen, Supreme Court Justice, and talk show media Chris Matthews.

Guys he wasa congressional page, i would say you have a real hook there man.

Decided to get pay for some professional advice from CC via the stats evaluator just for some peace of mind -- He came up with the following:

"Keeping in mind my caveats regarding competitive admissions stated previously, and assuming that you can maintain (or even increase) your current level of performance (especially in your standardized tests), I see your chances at your candidate schools as follows:

Reach: (50/50 chance): Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Yale (possible deferral from EA)

Ballpark: (likely acceptance): Georgetown, Cornell, Penn, Dartmouth

Safety: Case Western Reserve, George Washington, WUSTL (WUSTL wants to see evidence of passion to attend, otherwise high performers like you may be waitlisted.)"
