Soccer is really big for me i have tooooooonnns of soccer. I play for a club team that is nationally ranked in like the top 150. I play for school. And i play for new york state (hopefully this helps me a lot). (maybe as a reason for low GPA??).
besides that i think thas all

i play for north ODP. i do hope to play varsity and i have been trying to contact the coach for the past week but he hasnt responded yet. I also made regional pool...or was sure i would make it if i wasnt injured on the last day and had to sit out...i do think my name was on the list for regional pool so i guess that helps somewhat

Superman320 if you are as good a soccer player as you say you are, they should recruit you. With recruiting and those stats you should get in, in my opinion. I'm guessing though that since the midwest has a lot of good players too, they are recruited by Michigan. My son has never been close to being in the regional pool, but he is a good state player too. He has been recruited by a D1 school(lesser academics than Michigan) and has been looked at by a couple of others academically comparable with Michigan. If he gets in here, he will hope to make varsity, but if not I understand they have a very good club program.

I checked the regional pool and your not on it, only 2 players from ODP north and one is All American and the other is in Italy with Udinese. Most of the players on ODP north that I know, not on the regional pool, have been recruited by D1 schools, better teams than Michigan, lesser academics, and are getting some scholarship money. Your Stats are better than 90% of the players on the state team that I know. You should spread yourself around and let all the coaches know about you, even if your heart is set on Michigan.

We have left three messages with the soccer coaches over the last month without acknowledgement. Perhaps they are changing coaches?

Talking of being on lists. One of the Michigan coaches says he played for the Cosmos. None of the Cosmos players I know, know who he is and he is not on the Cosmos all-time player list.

hmm u check the 89 list or the 88 list? im an 89 player since i was born in 89...skipped a grade. I dunno i guess i may not bee on teh list like i said i was injured and could not play the last day. i was told my name was on but that coulda been a mistake. eh i really hope they accept me if my GPA goes up

oh man over the last month..i only started emailing him like a week ago. i dunno hopefully i could get someway of contacting him. I do have two cousins there so i dunno if that will help, both in contacting him and in geting into the college.

Being on lists isn't important - if you play well that's what counts.

I don't really know what your chances are without the coach - it's definitely harder for out of state, so keep trying to contact the coach.

If you're worried about what to do if deferred, I would consider trying to improve on those test results. I believe Michigan is big on the ACT, but the next one is Saturday Dec. 10 so you would have to act quickly and take it on standby. Check out the section on ACTs on this website - bright students like yourself can sometimes do better on this test. If you only took the SATs once consider taking them again in the hopes of improving the critical reading section - they usually take your best scores from different sittings. Obvioously keep working on your grades/

As for the soccer I hope you made the state team this year and maybe the coach can see you play in the winter/spring.
