You will really need to work on those SAT scores.

Yea, everything else but your SAT score is good.

weird that you don't test well with a GPA like that. Sometimes the ADCOMS see a high GPA and low test scores as a tip off the school might not be top notch, but it looks like that's not the case here.

Ever think of taking the ACT, I had some friends do WAAAY better on it than the SAT?

Other than those scores, your GPA and EC's are stellar as is the rigor of coursework. I think SOMETIMES if a kid had a dynamite GPA but not tests or vice versa, they's GSP them...give any thought to that? How'd you do on those AP tests, cause if you kick butt on them and the SAT subject tests maybe you can show them you can take SOME tests well (obvious from your GPA)

I had probably the lowest SAT math score sdmitted to CAS this year (560) and I thought I was doomed. I did try several tutors and took the ACT's but all the kings horses and men couldn't help it. But I went in thinking I'd kill on the math the second time, and that confidance got my reading and writing up to 780/720.

So maybe it seems unrealistic to pull both scores up...maybe you can focus on one (not writing)?

i didnt get my ap tests cores back yet...but yea i took the sat's 3 times and did better each time i took it and the last time i took it i got the scores i posted...i took an sat prep class....but for some reason i could not do well on the sat's...like im a good test taker in school and everything but idk i hope that my sat scores do not ruin my otherwise ok resume...i did not try the acts only bc i was so confident i would do so much better on my last sats.....but thanks for the help

I took the SATs two times, had tutors for two years and still could not do well on them. I ended up sending just my ACTs, which weren't even that better--point of the story is, despite my low grades I had a great gpa and a lot of extracirccs. which you have (I got waitlisted and then into Tisch). So you never know and if you really want something don't give up!!

thanks thats really encouraging....congratulations getting into tisch
