I have account balance at my community college. Im done with my degree, but they want release my transcprit becacuse of my account balance i owe. Would financial aid pay for me to go to another community college. Do i need my transcripts to go another college. I want another degree.

You will need your transcript to apply and go to another school. If you’re referring to PELL you are eligible for PELL for 6 years or 12 semesters.

Why don’t you want to pay what you owe the school for educating you? Schools need money to pay professors, maintain buildings, pay for electricity, etc. If people like you don’t pay, they have to raise the rates on everyone. You have already received financial aid. That shows up in the National database. Other schools will know you have attended elsewhere and want a transcript. Don’t be a moocher. Pay up.

I understand what yall saying, but Im currently dont have the money to pay off my account balance. I was looking for ways to pay it off.

Im trying to start from scratch. I want to get another degree and come in as a new student. without my transcripts.

The only way I know of is for you to get a job and pay it off with your earnings. What were you expecting to hear?

That’s not going to work. Schools check on your history through the college clearinghouse.

How large of a balance do you have at your college? Did you pay for school with Stafford loans, Pell grant, cash? Since it’s community college, you can’t owe them very much. Work this summer and pay the bill off.
