But please chance me!!!

you’re really going to need to up your SAT score. aim for 1800s/1900s at the lowest, but even that is stretching it. you might want to consider taking the ACT as well. it tests you more on stuff that you’ve actually learned in school rather than on techniques you have to learn from a practice book. there’s a science section, but the questions within that are for the most part about the directions for experiments that are given to you. plus the ACT essay topics are way easier, if that happens to be your weak point. my ACT score, when converted to its SAT-equivalent, was over 200 points higher than what i actually earned on the SAT.

and for the clubs you’re in, try to score some leadership positions. it doesn’t have to be president necessarily, but if you can get a spot as secretary or anything else in the board it will really increase your chances.

if you can get all of that done, i think you have a pretty good shot. but your SAT score really has to improve.

good luck!

your sat needs to improve…aim for 1800…good job at other stuff

The above two posts say it all.

GOOD LUCK!

the fact that you’re new to the country can either work for you or against you. as admirable it is, they receive tons and tons of personal statements about the difficulty people have faced in midst of assimilating to their new lives… it’s your call.

everything seems pretty good, minus the couple things eltagra mentioned. work on those, and i say you have a pretty decent chance.

good luck!

I got in with a below average SAT, ELC will most likely get you into UCSD.

If your weighted comes over 4.0 then you have a solid chance.
