I was recently accepted to San Jose State University as an environmental science major. The acceptance is provisional and I have not yet committed to the school. I want to but I was wondering if it’s difficult for me to change my major once I start my first semester. I was thinking changing into engineering or business. Probably engineering but I know it’s impacted. I don’t want to commit to the school and be stuck with the major applied under. If I change my major will they reevaluated my application including my high school information ?
Why guess or get opinions? Contact the school directly and ask.
Try a web search for “SJSU change major [name of specific major]” for all of the possible majors you may want to change to.
You can probably get an idea of what majors are harder to change into by looking at the admission thresholds for the various majors at http://info.sjsu.edu/static/admission/impaction.html .
