Got into SJSU but as an undeclared major

Hello,

So i recently gained admission from San Jose State University but I ended up getting an undeclared major. I applied for Computer Science but since it is an impacted major and I did not stack up as well as the other applicants and was given undecided.
I was wondering if it is still possible to get my intended major later or if it's practically impossible and I should consider another school.

Thanks in advance!

Well, there is this:

But it does not say how difficult it is to get approved to change. You may want to call them and ask.

Thank you for your reply ucbalumnus, it was greatly appreciated. would it be considered a change of major to try to get my intended major again?
Also, I was wondering if anyone has seen any cases of this where someone was able to get their intended major after given an undecided major.
Thanks again!

Better to call them and ask how difficult it is to change into your desired major.

How do you know which major you were accepted into? Mine simply says undergraduate admissions.

yeah that’s what i will do next. hopefully it wont be too hard

TheNexus, for me it specifically said in the acceptance letter in the mySJSU portal that i was not able to get my intended major because i did not meet the impacted threshold. My guess is that if it just says undergraduate admissions with nothing else you probably got the major you wanted. but i am not 100% sure on that one so double check on that
