Changing colleges on application

So Georgetown is basically my top choice university, and when I was applying I was torn between applying to McDonough or SFS. I decided to go with McDonough because I thought it would provide better career prospects, but I have since realized that I instead should have gone with my instinct to take advantage of Georgetown's SFS. So I was wondering if it was possible to somehow change the school to which I applied before the university makes decisions?

It’s probably definitely too late now because that would require a different essay. If you’re accepted though it’s pretty easy to change schools.

It never hurts to call and ask: (202) 687-3600

You could wait until you are accepted and then email the admissions office to explain your change of heart. They will most likely have you write the SFS application essay and explain your rationale for the switch. You could request a decision before the May 1st notification deadline. I know of a few students who have done that without a problem. Good luck!!!
