changing housing

I applied for a single but got a double at lowrise 7.
Is there any way that I can change it to single? Is it even possible?

Yea, I applied for a single at Risley and I got a double. I dunno, I'd check your roommate. maybe hes tight. though, I really would prefer the privacy.

Email or call housing, but it's prob near impossible to get through. If that doesnt work, look for people in facebook forums and on the classof website, who would switch with you.

I want to change my room too but for the opposite reason. I got a single in Dickson, but I really want a double. It sucks that I'm gonna have to call Monday and try to switch.

abbym, I'm in the same boat as you. I want a double but got a single in Dickson instead. Check the facebook group it seemed that thats what happened to many. Would be calling on monday for a switch though.

wow some of us are in opposite situation.. switching might work.

dont give up singles - they're the best. Dont worry about the "well, I'd wonder if i'll still be able to make friends and all" - lame excuse, most people aren't friends with their roomate, they just kind of co-exist.

hey I'm kinda new to facebook so can anyone tell me where to find these people who wanna switch?

put Cornell 2011 into the search and look for groups

if two of you here are in the opposite situation then both of you can email housing and they'll make the switch for you.

I was just gonna call them on Monday, but I don't think I have a good chance on that. So anyone wanna switch to double at low rise 7 (I got a single)?

I searched on facebook but I couldn't find any related groups.

Anybody have a single/double in Mews or C-K-B (or hey, anything not Donlon) and would like to switch for a Donlon double?

why on earth do you want a double when you can have the single? Pre-frosh don't make no sense...

I was assigned a single in Dickson...anyone want to switch for a double?

why on earth do you want a double when you can have the single? Pre-frosh don't make no sense...

I can't afford to pay extra for a single, personally.

getting an a-hole roomate is also very costly as well, though you'll pay not with money but rather with less sleep time and this can very easily carry over into your school work.

dude, I literally can't afford it. I'm already graduating with 40k in debt.

look for the class of 2011 site there are a lot on facebook and look on the classof website . Since you want to shell out the extra $900 for a single, pull a Little Orphan Annie and tell Housing that. Make it real tearful

what's an extra several hundred dollars with $40K in loans then?

u don't tell them that. u have to be real dramatic
