Hello,

Does anyone know if it is possible to change majors at Georgetown? I was accepted into MSB and having second thoughts about a business degree. Is there any way to change majors, even transfer into SFS?

Does anyone know if it is possible to change majors at Georgetown? I was accepted into MSB and having second thoughts about a business degree. Is there any way to change majors, even transfer into SFS?

I think it's pretty easy to change majors, but it's pretty difficult to transfer into SFS, considering the requirements are so different. I think I remember hearing that you have to wait until after your first full year to transfer, you can't do it after the semester.

Changing majors is easy...changing schools can be rough. MSB and SFS have the strictest course requirements of all of the schools, so if you want to transfer you need to plan ahead or plan for some serious summer school

It's not really that hard, just make sure that as soon as you get here you have a talk with your MSB dean (advisor) and an SFS dean, so that you can take all the necessary classes frehman year, and you shouldn't be put too far behind, but you can't officially transfer until the end of the year.

Yep, you can change majors and transfer within the university to a different school. I would just recommend doing it asap.
