I'm not 100% sure that ill be going to georgetown next year, but I am currently admitted to the FLL for Chinese, and I was wondering if it would be possible to switch over to SFS before going to georgetown

That might be tricky. I know that people can before school starts by writing an essay on why they want to transfer (a friend transfered from COL to MSB), but there is a chance you might get rejected in your petition to transfer.

One of the few reasons being is that people might use this as a back door to get into the schools they really want.

how about once you get into Gtown and decide a year later you want to internally transfer
anyone know the process?

Internally switching in Georgetown is a relatively easy process. If you maintain relatively good grades and speak with your dean about what requirements you need to make up in your next 3 years of college, you can fill out an application, write an essay, and be fairly easily accepted into another school within the university. Note that a lot of majors are intensive and require time, so if you transfer after freshman and especially after sophomore year, you may need to take extra credits or courses over the summer.

thanks Collegerocks89!

Yes - my Georgetown interviewer says it is relatively easy to switch colleges within Georgetown. She even said that people apply to certain schools because they think it will "easier" to get in, and then switch.
