I was just wondering how quickly can I change my major in USC and how hard is it? I’m a freshman and am currently at Roski and I want to change to Dornsife for Political Science. I was accepted for bachelor of art at Roski not bachelor of fine art if that makes any difference.
As I understand it, you can do so right now. If you are interested in declaring Political Science as your major, you must meet with an advisor in person to do so. This page will direct you on how to schedule such an appointment…
Have you spoken to your advisor? This should be a fairly easy process. Going from Roski to Dornsife would be easier than going from Dornsife to Roski. Just email the advisor for political science and they should let you know what you have to do on your part (likely just enroll in courses for the political science major and meet with the advisor so they can map out a course plan for you). It shouldn’t be that much of a hassle. If you try to transfer into another performance/arts based school (SCA, Kaufman) there’s a longer road in place. But most other schools are easier to swap into.
