Changing Majors at USC

Let's say I want to change my major from Viterbi's engineering major to something in the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, is it possible? And if it is, how hard is it to do so? :X

I believe changing from viterbi -> LAS is unrestricted, i.e., you merely need to go to the department advisor and request the change. Very easy.

Going from LAS -> viterbi might be more tricky, possibly needing to complete pre-engineering reqs and other requirements before switching, and it might not be guaranteed to be possible.

Going to LAS is quite easy, just go to an advisor.

Trying to get into another school like Annenberg, SCA, Thornton, Marshall etc would require an application which would need to be accepted. However, it is possible as I know people who were able to get into Annenberg, Marshall and even SCA as Sophomores/Juniors. The only catch is depending on how many classes are needed you might need an extra semester.

Okay! Thanks! :] My parents were thinking of not letting me go to USC because they would rather have me go to UCLA for engineering. I'm still deciding though...

My son liked UCLA Engineering (accepted there too) but decided on going to USC Viterbi Engineering because the classes are so large at UCLA and he will get more attention, smaller classes at USC.
