I've become very disastified with my major not in terms of interest but in terms of job prospects. I currently am majoring in economics but a degree in mathematics or computer science would much greatly benefit me in a future finance career.

What should I do? Should I just stick it out and finish it and apply to another undergrad or something? It sucks how it's come down to this because I really don't have much time.

Stick it out. You can do a master’s program; DO NOT do another undergrad.

That said, consult with your advisor…

Would your school LET you switch and spend a few more years there? More importantly, can you afford to switch at this point? If not, you can do a Masters, like irishrabbit suggested, but you’ll probably have to pay for it as well. I’d just switch if I were you.

How would math or CS help you better with finance than economics?

In your opinion econ might not be the best degree for finance, but you’re definitely not out of the running with it.

What state are you from? Last time I checked econ wasn’t that bad.

Depends what you are interested in. I know someone who is a solid entrepreneur and is now working as a CRO/CFO for a high profile game developer and he majored in economics and finance. If the classes in your major included a lot of math, then you should be fine. If I were you, I would just stick it out.
