Would it be difficult to change from a computer science major to an electrical engineering major in cal poly? I’m an incoming freshman, but I may want to change my major from CS to EE.

Computer Science and Electrical Engineering are from the identical department, therefore, I think getting into either CS or EE is not different at all.

Answer your question- I belive so.

what about from biology to poly sci. i know its hard but is it possible.

Easy.. You need like a 3.5 and you have to take 3 poly sci classes and get above a C in them. Cal Poly Biology department is really good though.

The rules state that you have to put in at least one quarter as a CSC (or whatever major you are in... Though, that might just be a College of Engineering thing). That one they are very unlikely to budge on. You also need a certain number of classes, and you need to get a certain GPA in those classes. I've heard they can be a bit more lenient on that if you are just starting out (I know a guy who switched to MatE the second quarter of his freshman year). In reality, everything you take your first quarter as a CSC translates to EE. EVERYTHING. This includes CSC/CPE 101. So, no real loss...

My sister changed from Civil Engineering to City and Regional Planning at the end of her first quarter. She had to get some paperwork signed.
