Changing Majors!

Hey! I'm a new member and wanted to say hi to everybody. I do have a question. I got accepted to UCLA for the fall of 2009 as a psychology major and wanted to change my major to business economics at UCLA. I've been doing research and heard that it is almost impossible to change to business economics because it is so impacted. Is there any way to change to the business economics major at all? If not, are there any other business program at UCLA that i can change into? Also, would I be able to do this at orientation? Any help would be very appreciative!

deeezy - Not because it is impacted. It’s impossoble to change your major to business economics because the department does not allow admitted transfers to do so. Most people believe that transferring into UCLA into a non-impacted major (ex. Anthro) and then change their major to business economics would be allowable. This is not the case because UCLA and other schools (ex. UCB with Haas) do not allow you to do so.
