Changing SAT Subject Test Subjects

How do you change your subject tests on test date?
Do you just tell the examiner and it will be ok? Are they required to accept these changes?

So on test day, they give you an answer sheet that has space to take three tests on it, and a test booklet that contains every subject test offered by the College Board (except for Language w/ Listening). Regardless of what you signed up for, you can take whatever combination of tests that you want to on test day because they’re all available in the same booklet.

And in any order, except for the November Foreign Language Tests, which must be taken first.

And how do I pay, if I change something?

If you’re just changing a test, there is no extra charge. If you’re adding a test, they bill you; at least that was the case when I took the tests.

Yes, you mentioned in another thread that you were taking two history subject tests. In my opinion I would take one history and one other subject test, maybe a language.

What do other people suggest?

I agree. Although you can submit tests in any subjects unless the college specifically tells you which tests it wants (e.g. MIT), I would not submit 2 tests in the same subject (e.g. USH and WH, or M1 and M2). Additionally, in this case as the OP is German, or is at least attending school in Germany, I would stay clear from any foreign language that is a heritage/native language or the language of instruction unless the test is over and above the number recommended/required by the college.

I’m gonna take the Latin Subject test in addition.Although I’m taking both, US history and world history, I’ll probably only send one of these scores…
But, as my goal is to major in political science, I don’t think a subject test in e.g. chemistry would help a lot, would it?

Nope. It would not hurt, but it is certainly not needed in your situation.
