hey guys, I made a results thread for class of 2022! if you guys could fill out the thing and comment, that would be a lot of help to RD applicants and future applicants  http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/chapman-university/2040805-chapman-university-official-admissions-class-of-2022-thread.html#latest

@sourc888 Yeah I applied ED! Super excited!

Accepted! Environmental Science and Policy- 4.1 gpa, 30 act, Provost Scholarship!! very excited!!!

@happywaffles I’m not sure if you can declare a second major/minor prior to being on campus. I would call and ask if it’s possible (same with if you applied undeclared; call and ask how you can declare one especially because they determine housing by your major). However, once you are enrolled and on campus, you can declare a second major/minor or switch a major by just filling out a change of major form, having the Department Chair sign it, and then you just submit it to the registrar and it’ll show up in your program evaluation (the thing that breaks down all your requirements). Also, I’m a double major in Business Admin and English with a focus in Journalism so if you have any questions about either program let me know! I just declared the English major though so I’m not as informed in that major as business but I can try to get the answer! Hope this helps!

@happywaffles Also, double majoring and minoring can be very difficult to do in four years. Especially if Business is a major you want because you have to take a LOT of courses for that major. Once you are registered and enrolled as a student and everything, you’ll have access to your program eval and you can make a “what-if” scenario and map out your four years to see if what you wanna do is possible/doable before you commit!

What is more money, a dean scholarship or a presidential scholarship? I got in with a dean scholarship but am confused what the difference is and how a person is given one over the other.
Congrats and best of luck to everyone else!

From what I understand it is presidential, provost/chancellor and then dean. I was awarded a deans scholarship which I’m grateful for yet confused as my other acceptances have included merit $ at the mid to top tier. My stats are 4.2 w and 32 ACT. Until I know all my acceptances I’m not going to stress too much but my parents are not able to justify upper 40K plus out of state travel and I’m bummed Chspman did not award at least a provost. Would anyone be willing to share stats as that might help me understand?

Accepted EA for BM in Performance with Presidential scholarship! Very excited. If anyone would like insight into the music application, hmu

Accepted with Provost Scholarship!
BS Health Sciences
3.6 UW GPA
1410 SAT

My son was accepted today! And coincidentally, I ordered him a Chapman hoodie which came in the mail today also.

Provost Scholarship
English major
3.7 GPA
1390 SAT single score

For those applicants who were deferred, I would send them a sincere letter telling them how much you really want to attend. Update any information that helps beef up your application. Good luck!!

My DD was accepted into screenwriting with dean’s scholarship! Very proud and very surprised as we are from Russia and did not count on any financial benefits. Congrats to all accepted students!!

Stats:
ACT 31(single sitting composite), 33 (superscore). UW GPA 4,95 out of 5

Can someone please tell me what my DD needs to do now, if anything, about the EA acceptance if she wants to wait with the decision until later? Is there some box she needs to check before March? Is it appropriate/needed to reach out to Chapman and express happiness and gratitude? Thanks in advance!

Son was accepted to Chapman for Computer Science with the Presidential Scholarship

My daughter was deferred last year, and was accepted in April. Chapman likes to see a high level of engagement, so if possible attend any events on campus. She loves bed Chapman, and as a parent I am thrilled with their freshman program.

My daughter had similar stats, was deferred and then accepted . Hang in there, your chances look good.

Accepted to Political Science, Had a 3.35 UW and a 32 ACT. Lots of leadership extracurriculars. Great recs and letters.

A Presidential Scholarship is 120K, I’m not sure about the Dean Scholarship

^^^ its 120K over the course of 4 years, and 30K a year
