Chapman Fall 2019 Transfers

If you don’t get an on-campus spot, Talk to the off-campus housing coordinator…there are always people looking for roommates and it can actually be less money because it is divided more ways. Good luck to you.

chapman grand…hows that?

Chapman Grand is a luxury apartment building in Anaheim that was purchased by Chapman (first opened to students last year). It’s the farthest away, but there are shuttles. Plan extra time using the shuttles until you get the schedule figured out.

The apartments themselves are nice…even have washer and dryers in each unit. Super nice pool. My daughter never lived there but had friends who did. And their only gripe was figuring out the shuttles, but they got used to it.

Didn’t get housing even though I submitted on time. If they don’t have a spot for me now they won’t have one for me later. I’m so mad. Can no longer go to Chapman and lost about 3k. Pissed

Congrats to those people that did!

I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. This was the first year that they required Sophomores live on campus, so I’m sure that impacted housing. Seriously talk to the housing director and/or the off-campus housing coordinator. There is also a Facebook page for people looking for off-campus roommates (I think it is called Chapman roommates)…I can’t vouch for it, but I’ve seen lots of posts on there. It is usually cheaper than living on campus.

Thank you @outwhere! Good to hear the commons is right in the Sandhu building  . He received an email with three other names, so he’s definitely in a quad. Room on the first floor. Any idea which layout is used on that floor–suite vs. non-suite?

FYI, In reviewing the floorplan that @outwhere posted, it looks like if you are in a quad, you are in a suite–it would just depend on if its two people to a room or one I guess.

The floors don’t matter…each floor has each style. And the building is somewhat maze-like…my daughter was around several corners, but she got used to it. Like itcannotbettue said, your son is in a suite style since there is a total of four students…there are the quad (four single rooms, two baths, and the living area) and two-bedroom double suites (so your son would be sharing with one person in one room and the other two are in the other room.) I’m not sure how if your email has any clues to that…does it say any more?

The room style are two single rooms with a shared bath, or what now says triple rooms, but were only doubles when my daughter lived there.

And one more thing, there usually are not many or any freshmen in Sandhu (unless they ran short of freshman housing). That makes it a little more mellow. Lol.

@screenname2019 I didn’t either and am in a panic looking for off campus unless they can find a spot for me.
Are you going to stay off campus & if so, would you be looking for a roomate?

Hi! I’m a transfer student that got accepted into Dodge College for Fall 2019 and I also did not receive a housing assignment and do not think I will. If anyone is looking for roommates or wants to work together to try and find a place to live, please email me at Rosesaban@gmail.com. This whole situation is so frustrating but hopefully we can help each other out!

Hey Guys!!
So Im applying for fall 2020 as a transfer and was wondering if you think I have a better chance of getting in undecided or in declared. I know it depends on the major but that would still have limited seats compared to undeclared right?

@IWantLearning33 @CaTransfer22 @mcgarglen hi! idk if you’re still active on here but i have an interview for film prod coming up. do you remember what sort of questions they asked? i’m super nervous and want to be prepared
