mere24,
That’s awesome news! Congratulations! :)

What did it say on webadvisor? Was it under “admission status” or elsewhere? It’s interesting, because Chapman, even on webadvisor, specifically states that they won’t let you know online – that decisions come in the mail.

It says under admission status, “admission approved” and the lady I had been emailing back and forth with since I met her in October emailed me today saying your webadvisor status changed today and congrats on my acceptance.

Anyone I’ve ever known to apply there says “admission approved” means your accepted and “decision complete” means rejected or deferred.

Im concerned that i didnt get in because my webadvisor still shows that my decisions pending. They said in the letter that they dont always update the webadvisor immediately, but im still freakin outtt. Does anyone else still have “decision pending” on their account?

Congratulations, mere24!!!

@ekfcra
mine was decision pending until today… don’t worry, it just means you they haven’t made a decision yet!

congrats again mere … correct that historically all “admission approved” means your accepted and “decision complete” means rejected. At least that’s what all old Chapman threads here show.

There’s also more information if you read post #48 of this thread. It confirms what we were told when we visited 2 weeks ago. They’d already begun making decisions before Christmas but acceptances wouldn’t start rolling out until a week or so into January, with Film Production possibly running a little later.

Actually, the admissions blog says film-production announcements won’t come until mid-Feb through early March.

yes, but we were told they officially underpromise the date, that way they won’t be swamped with applicants asking about their status

Question about merit scholarships…
I am not expecting one but do a lot of students get them?

mere24,
I believe they will provide that information when you receive the letter in the mail. Again, congratulations!

My daughter’s status changed to “Admission Approved” today!

Congrats to those who got in!
Still waiting for my WebAdvisor status to change from “Decision Pending”!

For those who have applied to Dodge will take a bit longer, speaking from experience. Hang in there. Congratulations to all who got in!

My son’s status changed today to “request fall term grades”. I am simultaneously disappointed (he’s on a deferral roll!) and relieved that it wasn’t a rejection. I learned yesterday that 27 kids applied from his school and we are local and they over enrolled last year…oh well- more waiting!

My status literally just changed to Admissions Approved. I hope this actually means i got in, i dont want to get my hopes up. I applied for business my SATs were 1890 CR 610, M 630, W 650 and my GPA was a 3.8w. I still dont want to get my hopes up, just incase it doesnt mean i was accepted

I’m with you Heshing, I’m still waiting and my status is still “decision pending”. Ahh, I’m so nervous, I would really love to attend Chapman. It is just a gorgeous campus and their programs are fantastic.

Those of you that have heard back, do they send you an email first or do you have to just keep checking?

The status changes without an email.
But you can email the admissions office to double check your status means accepted. Becky Konowicz emailed me sayings congrats !

I didn’t get an email. I’m also considered international so becky is my counselor there
