okay, there goes that theory. Maybe they all say production.

mine doesnt say any of that, but i didge apply to dodge, so im hoping that is the reason :/

Mine says that as well and I applied for theatre. Are you absolutely positive your friend’s doesn’t say that?

My friend doesn’t have it! Caligirl - are you sure you don’t have it either?

Hey everyone,
Im a current student at Chapman, I’m a senior Film Production major and I work in the admission office so I thought I might be able to help you out…
Remember Chapman has Early Action (non-binding), not Early Decision. If you applied EA, decision letters START to go out Jan 15… but if you applied to Dodge you probably will not hear back as soon (they get a LOT of applications, that’s why they require you to apply EA). EA applications are processed before Regular Action, so the time it takes to get your decision letter depends on how many students applied EA. RA students will probably hear back by April or early May. Your admission decision will be posted on Webadvisor, call the admission office to get your password and login if you don’t know it.

Here is a post by Dodge College explaining the process:

[When you will get your decision if you applied Early Action - Dodge College of Film and Media Arts](http://ftv.chapman.edu/life/blogs/admissions/when_you_will_get_your_decision_if_you_applied_early_action/)

You can also check out the Admission Office blog page to ask questions:

@Chapmanadmit
Thanks for your help. Do you know why some applicants have “New Student Information” on their portal and some don’t?

mine doesnt have any new links available, but my major is in the College of Educational Studies, so I am assuming that is the reason why i dont have that link available

caligrl13
what about under your documents… anything about new student orientation?

good luck to everyone on decisions!

mere24, my D’s portal has “new student orientation” and the link takes you to a “Welcome New Students” page. Hasn’t it always been there, though?

@bigmamabear

i don’t know if it has always been there, has yours? i’m sure its nothing though

@mere24, I am not the most observant person in the world. However, did you manage to click through on your “new student information” link?

Just for kicks, I went to the main menu of webadvisor, selected “Students” instead of “Prospective Students” just to see how far I’d get, and it seems to recognize my D is a current student on some links… !

mine has the new student orientation tab on there, but it has always been there

I guess it doesn’t mean anything

@caligrl, then it’s probably just a software quirk in Chapman’s portal. Oh well, we’ll just have to keep waiting and watching.

The New Student Information shows up on my Webadvisor even when I am not logged in, so I would assume that it means nothing.

OMG
I got in !!!

congratulations!

congratulations how did u find out? web advisor or mail?
