Hello all,

I'm planning to apply to Chapman University for their Film Program for Fall 2013. I was curious in how the early admission process increases the chances of getting in or not. I've been opening my options to many film schools, but it's definitely one of my top choices.

We encourage students to apply early for a few reasons:

You will receive a decision much earlier. If you apply Early Action you will receive a decision letter much earlier, which gives you more time to make that important decision. For example, historically students who apply by November 15 (last year’s early action deadline) received notification in mid-January instead of having to wait until mid-March, when Regular Decision letters are sent.

Students who apply Early Action experience a higher acceptance rate, according to our data. So we can’t say it will increase your chances, but we do notice a higher acceptance rate among those students who apply early.

It also allows you to enjoy your holiday break, so you’re not struggling to submit everything in late December/early January.
