I was accepted to both LMU and Chapman as a psychology major and I am torn between the two schools. I would appreciate any feedback or advice regarding my major and the schools in general. Thank you!

Congratulations on being accepted to two great schools. Have you visited both in person? Talked to current students? You should go back for admitted students days, and ask lots of questions. If you truly are torn, then both might be a good fit, a nice problem to have. One main difference is that LMU is a much more religious school, so be sure you are comfortable with that aspect.

Thanks for the reply. I have visited both and I like the location of LMU better, but I like the feel of Chapman better. Also, Chapman gave more merit aid, but this is not necessarily a deal breaker. The religion is not an issue for me either way. I am planning to attend both preview days, so hopefully it will become clear. If anyone else was accepted to both schools, I am very curious which you are choosing and why? Or if you have personal experience at either school, please let me know what you think. Thank you!

Our D was accepted at both as well as a psychology major. Chapman offered a wonderful merit scholarship and we are going to the accepted student day. LMU offered a very small merit award and we were concerned about the disorganization of the admissions process. Both schools are beautiful.

Do you know anything about the psychology departments at both schools? I have a feeling Chapman is more for me, but I am keeping an open mind until after the preview days. Hope to see you there!
