Im doing Qbridge, and debating whether to rank Princeton or Yale number one....I love both schools but since I live in California, know little about their student Body

which leads to me to ask:

How would you characterize Princeton's Student's Body?
What seems to be the " vibe on campus"?
Who is the average Princeton Student?

The student body is very diverse--geographically, ethnically, religiously, etc. The street is not so diverse. Take a walk down Prospect, and you'll see mostly WASPy kids wearing Polo and Lacoste. It's definitely a preppy atmosphere. I can't comment on how it compares to Yale. I'm sure posterX will be happy to oblige.

posterx is ALWAYS happy to compare to Yale.

but I wouldn't say the street is so much more preppy than the rest of campus (granted I have limited exposure). seems like it crosses throughout many of the groups of campus, but that the major overrepresented group is the athletic one, especially at certain clubs.

Your question might also be answered by the profiles of current and former students found on the new Office of Admissions website. See the following thread.

Princeton students, as I have said before, are earnest. Earnest and friendly. Earnest and friendly and kind of wholesome. Yale students are a little more, um, well, they vibrate at a higher pitch. And Harvard students are most openly ambitious.

As long as we are dealing in gross generalizations.
