charter & art school; not sure of where I "stand" in the applicant pool?

Hi! Essentially, I'm just unsure of where I stand in the college applicant pool, most importantly in the applicant pool of liberal arts colleges. This is mainly because my application looks a little different than most seniors' I know did (not radically so, however). I moved from the suburbs and left a private school and switched into a charter school this year as a junior (it was ranked in the top 100 in the country by U.S. World Report, admissions are competitive and become exponentially more competitive moving from freshman to sophomore admission, sophomore to junior etc. etc.) for half a day and then go to an arts conservatory for creative writing for the other half (known for attracting talent, known for winning a lot of scholarships yearly etc.) This means, however, that I can't join clubs at my regular school, and to be honest I'm just now getting on the ball about seeking out community service and volunteering (particularly tutoring, Books for Prisoners, and working on political campaigns) and accumulating hours. My weighted GPA last semester was 3.89 with five A's and two B's, including non-core subjects. I have a 2030 on the SAT and a 30 on the ACT; I'm currently studying for math to hopefully bump up my score a bit more. As far as the application goes, I'm confident about my essays and teacher and counselor recs.

The main concern is GPA. I'm told I have a good "story" because I basically moved and switched schools as a junior so I could keep going to art school, and I've done really well; I've established myself there, have earned straight A's there, made friends, and gotten writing awards at the national level. I just don't totally buy that story will make up for my GPA, though. Any thoughts would be appreciated, and sorry that this post is so long.

What LACs are you aiming for?

Well my favorites right now are Oberlin, Vassar, Reed, Carleton, Smith, New College of Florida, and Centre.
