<p>M2CK is giving you sound advice that your in-state schools will be your best financial bargain. However, I understand the desire to go some place different for college and it’s always nice to have options. Missouri participates in the Midwest Student Exchange. With the program you would pay 150% of in-state tuition at participating universities in certain programs. I am giving you a link so that you can check out the participating schools. Also, several Minnesota schools, Univ of Minn-Morris(a public lac) included, charge the same tuition regardless if you are in-state or OOS. Both South Dakota and North Dakota are terrific deals as far as cost of attendance. If you can afford the applications it won’t hurt to apply to some schools out of state but please remember even with low income parents you may not receive enough financial aid to make them affordable.</p>
