CHEATED OUT OF THE IVYS?

Haha so I got into Cornell (which im perfectly satisfied with), but just the fact that I got a "Likely Letter" from Cornell makes it pretty annoying because shouldn't that mean I should've been good enough to have been accepted to some of the other ivy's without a likely?

My Stats:

GPA: 3.9 uw
SAT: 2380 single sitting, 790 CR, 790 WR 800M
APS: 5's on 8 of them from 10-11th grade
SAT Subject Tests: Math 2: 800 USH: 800
Tons of Ec's
Good essays and recs
No fin aid

bump

tell me what you all think!

No, getting a likely from one place doesn’t mean you deserved to get into any of the other ivies.

You were lucky to get into Cornell.

Why was I “lucky” ?

But Cornell is the best ivy

I am very satisfied its just that I think that perhaps my app was good enough for others

Ever since you submitted your CA, you had no chance of an Ivy. Be thankful for Cornell.

@Bouncer what you said makes absolutely no sense. Cornell IS an ivy, so I obviously had a chance.

bump!

What does it matter what anyone thinks? It is what it is…you were not “cheated” out of anything…you never had anything to be cheated out of- only the same chance as thousands of kids just like you. You got a great acceptance, someone else got the others… If you were after an Ivy, you got it…perhaps you have other acceptances to choose from also. Congratulations on Cornell!

Thanks.

BUMP!

And who said I cared about what other people thinks?
