A classmate recently saw me copying a friends answers on a test, and told me he was going to tell the counselor. My school has been cracking down on cheating and teachers and counselors have claimed they would withdraw their letters of recommendations if a student was caught cheating. If my counselor does revoke their letter, will this make the college rescind their offer? I know what I did was wrong.
It’s anyone’s guess as to whether your college will rescind their offer. You had better begin preparing some kind of explanation for your actions.
Yes, it will make them rescind their offer if they are contacted by a school official.
I don’t know whether my classmate really will tell the counselor. At this point I’m just freaking out. I really hope they offer me some sort of chance to explain at least.
Hate to say it, but you made that bed yrself. Best of luck and I hope you learn from this experience.
